MY BROTHER’S KEEPER is a feature set amid 2015 Bay Area racial protests. Over the seventeen days of chaos during the Ferguson protests in the Bay Area, three generations of a black family experience it through their separate lenses in a surreal story where the past and present collide during a Roshomon-esc tale told by the matriarch, an aging ex-Black Panther grandma with dementia; her daughter the pragmatic academic struggling to stay centrist in the chaos and her schizophrenic son, the next generation of activist, unjustly imprisoned and denied his meds as he hallucinates he's a lone Cowboy on the long journey home.
