“I am an excitable person who only understands life lyrically, musically, in whom feelings are much stronger as reason. I am so thirsty for the marvelous that only the marvelous has power over me. Anything I can not transform into something marvelous, I let go. Reality doesn’t impress me. I only believe in intoxication, in ecstasy, and when ordinary life shackles me, I escape, one way or another. No more walls.”
My work is still evolving but suddenly after years of work I found the words to describe what excites me. It's a my obsession with DARK within the boundaries of light
“Don’t play what’s there.
Play what’s not there.”
For me, from the very beginning it was about the SHADOW. The act of going to BLACK, the smoothness of GRADIENT, the sharpness of the CONTRAST, the varying TEXTURE of grain, the MOMENT alluded to, the UNSPOKEN thought that lingers in the eye, simultaneously the loud screams of COLOR that drew me in, and the pregnant emotion halted and captured through the magic of the camera!
“The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you’ll be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.”
So call me what you like: Disorganized
Overwrought
Unfocused
Raw
Bipolar
Messy
but never lacking passion and bursting at the seams with inspiration and these random media experimentations will grow and focus themselves... and till then... I explore.
“When words become unclear, I shall focus with photographs. When images become inadequate, I shall be content with silence.”
Who Am I?
I am a 30 year old, who was disabled in 2009, lost my job [Merrill Lynch , Biotech Capital Investment] and started going to dialysis 3 days a week. In 2011, I started my business, The InvisibleGirl Studio made it official on a grant I won in 2013. As an artist who has her own business and works as a creative director who writes directs shoots produces new media content. I am passionate about travel beauty and light. I recently adopted my baby sis [who is ten & in the fourth grade] and it has been the biggest scariest thing I've ever done; I've also realized I have never been in love before now. Like I know how to LOVE for the FIRST TIME. I feel blessed to curate this creative beautiful fun loving creature's childhood.
“I don’t know how many years on this Earth I got left. I’m gonna get real weird with it.”
“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”
